Some 246 were placed under technical impoundment.

Region 4-A led with 140 apprehensions, followed by Region 2 with 46; Region 10, 34, and the National Capital Region, 29.

The Negros Island Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Region 12 had no cases.

Cumulatively for 2026, some 37 vehicles were apprehended — 18 in January and 19 in February, with 34 buses in the total count.

“Colorum vehicles risk passenger safety, bypass regulations, and disadvantage compliant operators,” LTO chief Markus Lacanilao said.

“We commend our personnel and ask the public to use only authorized transport. We will keep working to create a safer, more orderly system,” he added.
