BOC seizes P480-k kush, nabs claimant at NAIA

The Bureau of Custom (BOC) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) , has intercepted an inbound shipment containing illegal drugs valued at P480,400.

The parcel, declared as accessories and candies, was flagged for inspection after exhibiting suspicious indicators.

Further examination uncovered around 320 grams of dried marijuana leaves commonly known as kush, with an estimated street value of P480,000, along with eight vape cartridges containing cannabis oil worth about P400.

The seized items and the claimant were turned over to PDEA for proper disposition and inquest proceedings for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
