Malacañang announces 11 local special non-working days

Malacañang on Sunday declared 11 special non-working days across a province, four cities, and four municipalities to allow residents to join local celebrations.

Proclamation No. 1129 designated February 10, 2026, as a special non-working day in Bacolor, Pampanga, in celebration of Bacolor Day.

Proclamation No. 1130 declared February 21, 2026, as a special non-working day in Marinduque province to mark the Araw ng Marinduque celebration.

Proclamation No. 1131 established January 22, 2026, as a special non-working day in Guiguinto, Bulacan, in recognition of the Halamanan Festival.

These three proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto by the authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on January 13.

Additionally, two more proclamations were signed on January 14:

Proclamation No. 1132 declared February 17, 2026, a special non-working day in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, to provide residents the opportunity to celebrate the Araw ng Kabasalan.

Proclamation Nos. 1133 and 1134 declared January 15, 2026, and May 7, 2026, as special non-working days in San Pablo City, Laguna, for the Coconut Festival and its Charter Anniversary, respectively.

Furthermore, Proclamation No. 1135 declared February 2, 2026, as a special non-working day in Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte, in commemoration of its 112th Araw ng Katipunan. 

Similarly, Proclamation No. 1139 designated February 2, 2026, as a special non-working day in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, to celebrate its 314th Founding Anniversary.

Proclamation No. 1136, established February 6, 2026, as a special non-working day in Consolacion, Cebu, marking the municipality’s 106th Founding Anniversary.

According to Proclamation No. 1137, February 11, 2026, will also be observed as a special non-working day in Candoni, Negros Occidental, to allow residents to participate in the Dinagyaw sa Tablas Festival, which honors settlers who transformed dense forests into fertile land.

Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija will observe a special non-working day on February 3, 2026, to commemorate its 76th Founding Anniversary, as stated in Proclamation No. 1138.

All proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Recto on January 15.

In September, under Proclamation No. 1006, Malacañang previously released the list of regular and special non-working holidays for the year 2026.
