A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was killed in Tondo, Manila while his friend was injured when they picked up from the street a firecracker that failed to explode and then lit it up.
The Manila Police District -Police Station 7 (MPD-PS7) said the firecracker exploded when the victim lit it up with a lighter.

Police said due to the impact of the explosion, the fatality’s right leg was almost severed. His friend was rushed to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRMMC).
The incident took place at the corner of Lorenzo Street and Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Tondo, Manila, police said on Sunday night.
