The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday raised a Code White alert in preparation for Tropical Depression “Verbena.”
The DOH Operations Center is stocked with medicines, medical equipment, and Health Emergency Response Teams for the regions expected to be affected.
Operations personnel are also conducting 24/7 monitoring to ensure immediate response and coordination in impacted areas.
As of 5 p.m., Verbena is passing through the Cuyo archipelago, according to the latest tropical cyclone bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The Health Department advises local government units to activate emergency protocols and ensure the readiness of health facilities.
It also reminded residents to prepare emergency kits including food, water, and essential medicines.
