The Department of Justice (DOJ) found the recent remarks of controversial private contractor Sarah Discaya as a “sign of insincerity and complacency.”
“The heart sign and the remarks of Ms. Sarah Discaya are all taken into account in the assessment and evaluation of the persons involved,” said Justice Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Mico Clavano on Sunday.
Sarah arrived at the DOJ on Saturday at around 12:30 p.m. for the continuation of her testimony’s evaluation. Upon walking past justice reporters, she posed with a finger heart.
Before leaving the premises, she told reporters to make her memes look good.
Meanwhile, her husband Pacifico “Curlee” who wore a bullet-proof vest and was escorted by Police Security and Protection Group personnel had no reaction to the media upon arrival.
Clavano added that they are urging all persons of interest involved in the case to behave accordingly.
The Discaya couple were identified as ‘protected witnesses’ by the DOJ.
Other individuals placed under its protection include Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undersecretary for operations Roberto Bernardo, former DPWH Bulacan district engineer Henry Alcantara, assistant district engineers Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza.
In an earlier statement, the DOJ noted that these individuals are “presently under provisional acceptance into the Witness Protection, Security and Benefit Program (WPP),” as well as SYMS Construction and Trading owner Sally Santos.
It clarified that they were only protected from harm and not from liability under the WPP.
