GSIS urges government agencies to report storm-damaged assets

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Monday called on all government agencies to promptly report any insured assets and properties damaged by tropical cyclones “Crising,” “Dante,” and “Emong.”

In a statement, the state pension fund encouraged agencies to prepare their insurance policy information and contact the nearest GSIS branch or extension office. A full list of contact details is available on its website.

GSIS emphasized that its coverage includes all government-owned assets such as buildings, vehicles, equipment, and other properties.

The fund offers a range of non-life insurance products for institutions, including fire, motor vehicle, engineering, and accident insurance, as well as optional protection plans for individual members, pensioners, and their families.

GSIS also issues compulsory third-party liability (CTPL) insurance and covers government-linked projects or ventures where public funds or interests are involved.

“We are ready to help agencies recover and get back on track. Your safety and protection remain our priority,” GSIS officer-in-charge Juliet Bautista said.
