The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) mourns the death of one of its agents who died following a shootout with two drug suspects during a buy-bust in Calamba City, Laguna last Sunday, July 20.
“It is a day of grief for the PDEA as one of our operatives died in the line of duty,” PDEA director general Isagani Nerez said.

The fallen agent, Intelligence Officer I Raffy Escobido, 31, was assigned at the PDEA Region 4-A office.
He reportedly expired while being treated at the hospital for a bullet wound in the head.
