Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Monday submitted a supplemental affidavit to the National Prosecution Service at the Department of Justice (DOJ), targeting Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte and nine others.

Trillanes had previously filed complaints in July of last year in connection to the controversial P6.4 billion shabu shipment seized in Valenzuela City in 2017.

Among those named in the complaints are Duterte’s brother-in-law, Atty. Mans Carpio, and former Customs chief Nicanor Faeldon.

“It’s clear—two witnesses have already testified that Polong Duterte was the one overseeing the drug shipments during his brother’s presidency,” Trillanes, quoted by ABS-CBN News, stated.

He added that the supplemental affidavit includes evidence used by prosecutors to convict Bureau of Customs fixer Mark Taguba twice for his involvement in the P6.4 billion drug shipment from China.

Trillanes also highlighted that the supplemental affidavit contains the individual testimonies of Taguba and former BOC customs intelligence officer Jaime Guban.

“We’ve heard again from the Quad Comm that Mark Taguba stated he provided protection money to Polong Duterte, and was selected to import the shabu,” Trillanes said.
