President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday vouched for the competence and integrity of the Partido Federal ng Pilipino (PFP) candidates and hoped for a “100 percent” victory in the midterm elections.
“That is how high the quality of PFP members and candidates is,” Marcos said during the PFP Leaders’ Convergence Summit at The Manila Hotel.
“We have gathered, I believe, the best people and the most effective public servants in the Philippines under our umbrella ngayon sa PFP at sa buong alyansa (in the PFP and the whole alliance),” he added.
At least three of the PFP’s senatorial candidates graced the summit, including Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino, former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., and former senator Manny Pacquiao.
Marcos, also national chairperson of the PFP, convened all its 1,300 party members, including incumbent and aspiring government officials from Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and other key regions to engage in meaningful discussions.
He said the convergence summit was held to help PFP members solidify their plans for the future.
He also urged the PFP members to lead with integrity, accountability, and strong commitment to public service.
“But the real reason why we brought together all those who understand our desire for unity is so that everyone who will help us in making the Philippines better is with us and we have our own plan, we have a goal and a goal to follow for our country ,” he said. With Charles Dantes
