The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded 14 volcanic earthquakes at Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island within a 24-hour period.
In its Sunday bulletin, Phivolcs reported that Mount Kanlaon emitted 3,620 tons of sulfur dioxide on December 14.

The volcano released a moderate plume that reached a height of 50 meters and drifted west-southwest. Continuous degassing was also observed at the volcano.
Alert Level 3 remains in effect for Kanlaon Volcano, indicating intensified magmatic unrest following its explosive eruption on December 9.
