Defense Senior Undersecretary Irineo C. Espino conferred the Outstanding Achievement Medal (OAM) on Brigadier General Ronald Jess S. Alcudia, MNSA, of the Philippine Army, during a ceremony held on Wednesday at the Department of Defense (DND) Social Hall.
This event marks the culmination of the 85th DND Founding Anniversary Celebration, with this year’s theme being “Transforming and Advancing to Secure Our Country’s Future.”
The OAM was awarded to BGEN Alcudia in recognition of his extraordinary and distinguished achievements as the proponent and lead Subject Matter Expert for the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) training program within the DND and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
This program was established under Republic Act No. 9163, series of 2002, which created the National Service Training Program (NSTP) for tertiary-level students.
Senior Undersecretary Espino, alongside Officer-in-Charge for the Office of Human Resource and Assistant Secretary for Defense Communications Arsenio R. Andolong, led the awarding ceremony.
They honored six Model Supervisors and six Model Employees from various DND-wide offices, including the AFP, the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP), the Government Arsenal (GA), and the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC).
The awardees were recognized for their dedication, leadership, and invaluable contributions to the Department’s mission of safeguarding national security and providing public service.
The recipients included Ms. Emielynn E. Francisco and Ms. Delicias B. Paulino from DND Proper; Ms. Evangeline M. Singueo and Engr. Edryan D. Bongabong from AFP; Ms. Elora Joselle F. Cangco and Ms. Clarizza T. Pareja from PVAO; Ms. Aida A. Latag and Ms. Maricar S. Marissa from NDCP; Engr. Ullyses D. Reyes and Mr. Alberto R. Regoso from GA; as well as Mr. Bartolomew B. Simon, RN, and Ms. Veronica T. Cia, RPh, from VMMC.
