The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced the arrival of the 91st batch of repatriated Filipino workers from Lebanon on November 24, 2024.
This group consists of 75 individuals, bringing the total number of repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their dependents to 1,191.
Upon their arrival at Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the repatriates received immediate financial and livelihood assistance from various government agencies, including the DMW and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Additionally, educational vouchers were provided by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority for those wishing to pursue further skills training.
The DMW’s National Reintegration Center for OFWs is also offering programs aimed at assisting returnees with employment opportunities and livelihood support.
Many repatriates took advantage of free medical check-ups and medications provided by the New NAIA Infra Corporation Medical Team.
Psychosocial services are available for those who have experienced trauma or abuse while working abroad.
This repatriation effort is part of a broader government initiative directed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure the safe return of Filipinos from conflict-affected regions.
