Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder and leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was brought to the Philippine Heart Center on Saturday, November 23, to begin his extended medical furlough.
Quiboloy arrived at the Heart Center in Quezon City around 7:35 AM, according to Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson and Public Information Office Chief Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo.
He left his detention cell at the PNP Custodial Center with full security escorts to ensure the safety of the self-proclaimed “son of God.”
“He [Pastor Quiboloy] is expected to be back by 4 PM on November 27, pursuant to the order issued by the court,” the PNP spokesperson stated.
The Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159 granted Quiboloy’s request on November 22 for an extension of his medical furlough to receive treatment for an infection related to his dental implants.
Atty. Israelito Torreon, Quiboloy’s lead legal counsel, noted that discussions between prosecution and defense lawyers were intense, but the court ultimately approved the request.
In addition to a dental examination, Quiboloy will also undergo other medical tests.
Previously, the court had granted a medical furlough for Quiboloy after doctors at the PNP General Hospital determined that he has an irregular heartbeat.
