Be among the first to experience the J7 SHS’ Super Hybrid System, which will debut at MIAS 2025, through an exclusive test drive opportunity this April 11-13
The smoothest turbo-charged powertrain is now in the Philippines, ready to usher in a new era for sustainable and high technology-powered mobility. Global automaker JAECOO will preview their latest hybrid SUV, the JAECOO J7 SHS, built with their unique Super Hybrid System technology at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show. The brand’s newest innovation will also be available for test-drive from April 11 to 13 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
The Super Hybrid System powers the J7 SHS to travel great distances on both hybrid and pure electric modes, distinguishing it as a true leader in the hybrid SUV segment. Powered by the brand’s newly-engineered technology, the new model has driven a distance of 1,488.8 kilometers on a full fuel tank and a single charge during the Automobile Association Philippines Verification Range Test in February 2025 , exceeding its published extended range of 1,200+ km. It can also drive as far as 106 km while on pure electric mode.

The model’s Super Hybrid System is powered by a 201 HP motor and 5th Generation 1.5 TDGI DHT hybrid engine. When these components work together, they generate a comprehensive power of 255 kW, and a peak torque of 525 Nm, which is comparable to that of a 3.0T engine. This powertrain also allows drivers to seamlessly switch between the vehicle’s Full Electric, Series Hybrid, Parallel Hybrid, and Energy Recovery (regen) modes. This, coupled with its ability to traverse various terrains like sand and mud, is a testament to the J7 SHS’ unparalleled road versatility.
The J7 SHS also boasts efficient use of its fuel and electric power sources. The 5th Generation 1.5 TDGI DHT hybrid engine harnesses six core technologies, including Deep Miller cycle, Intelligent High Efficiency Combustion (i-HEC), regenerative braking, and optimized power distribution to consume just 4.1 liters of fuel every 100 km. The engine’s DHT component can also automatically switch the car’s driving mode depending on the current driving conditions and vehicle status. This converts the battery’s kinetic energy into electric energy, making driving more economical and efficient.
Speaking of the J7 SHS’ battery, this 18.3 kWh lithium-ion battery can also power up from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes, maximizing motorists’ time on the road. Its built-in all-around battery protection system can withstand temperatures from -35°C to 60°C, making it resistant to certain elements.
Full control on the road thanks to J7 SHS’ stylish and functional design
The J7 SHS’ design fuses style and innovation, guaranteeing motorists full control while on the road. This midsize SUV comes in dimensions of 4500 mm x 1865 mm x 1670 mm and is equipped with a 2672 mm-wide wheelbase. It is decked out with JAECOO’s signature hexagonal Waterfall Grille, side mirrors with glossy black accents, and a checkered LED Full-Width Taillight. On the other hand, its model’s sleek and industrialist interior is equipped with a 10.25” instrument cluster and a 14.8” infotainment system. Users can also easily navigate the car’s countless features with an intelligent voice system that can be activated with the phrase “Hello, JAECOO!”
The J7 SHS is also equipped with leading road safety technologies that fortify the car for all types of emergencies. The model boasts a body strength of 23,000N/deg and road crush resistance score of 5.11 –– exceeding other SUVs in the market. It also enables drivers to act swiftly during emergencies. Drivers can easily pull the brakes, thanks to Bosch’s IPB intelligent braking system that automatically kicks in within 0.1 seconds. They can also utilize the J7 SHS’ DMS Driver Monitoring System and 360° HD Panoramic Camera+Under Chassis View to assess the vehicle’s current safety status as well as the overall road conditions.
