Naruto Konoha Land, a theme park area inspired by the Japanese manga and anime franchise Naruto, opened to journalists and influencers on Thursday at Spirou Provence amusement park ahead of its public debut.
The 1.5-hectare attraction near Avignon is the first official Naruto-themed zone outside Japan. Developed over four years at a cost of more than €16 million, it aims to immerse visitors in the ninja world popularized since 1999.
At its center is the Kyubi Unchained roller coaster, themed after the nine-tailed fox Kurama, featuring a one-kilometer track, a 30-meter drop, and a reverse section.
The area also includes the Rasengan Chakra Rotation ride, recreations of the Hidden Leaf Village gate and Hokage monument, character statues, and themed food outlets
Park officials said the project highlights the strong demand for manga in France and aims to attract younger visitors. The attraction opened to the public on April 4.
