The fairways have a new front row, and this season it is dressed for the Lunar New Year.
At its Manila flagship store, Malbon Golf Philippines ushered in the Year of the Horse with a capsule that felt like a couture clubhouse. The Year of the Horse Collection, an Asia-exclusive release available in the Philippines, Vietnam, and China, signals how Chinese fashion influences are trotting confidently into the mainstream.
Held on Feb. 18, the launch turned the store into a cultural stage headlined by the collection itself.

For this collection, the brand leaned into deep, textured tones, refined silhouettes, and premium fabrication. The result is Lunar New Year dressing with restraint and polish. Tracksuits, skirts, track pants, and jackets move effortlessly from tee time to dinner plans, carrying the label’s hybrid DNA of sport and street. It is heritage filtered through a modern lens, where symbolism is subtle but still unmistakably present. In doing so, Malbon Golf positions Chinese aesthetics as a design language with global reach, one that continues to shape fashion conversations across Asia.
Chinese fashion has been steadily reshaping regional style conversations, and the capsule leaned into that mood. It suggested that celebration no longer needs to be loud to be powerful. Strength, motion, and forward momentum, traits tied to the Horse, were expressed through clean lines and wearable structure.

Inside the flagship, the retail theatrics amplified the message. Guests were greeted with traditional sweets and mandarin oranges, then ushered through installations inspired by movement and prosperity. A dragon dance performance animated the room. A live calligraphy station inscribed personalized blessings. A Lazy Susan-inspired photo installation nodded to family gatherings. One guest even walked away with a full Malbon outfit during a dramatic Ang Pao reveal.

There was a curated snack station, a custom mocktail tea bar in collaboration with Chagee, and a golf simulator challenge that fused heritage celebration with short-game swagger. Horse and rope fixtures and campaign decals completed the transformation, turning the shop floor into an Instagra-readyy cultural playground.
The Year of the Horse Collection is now available at the brand’s Manila flagship.
