Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran has teamed up with global appliance brand Toshiba as its Takumi Master of Visionary Style.
Libiran, celebrated for his meticulous craftsmanship and modern, forward-thinking designs, was named one of PeopleAsia’s People of the Year 2026. The collaboration highlights the shared values of precision, attention to detail, and design excellence between the designer and Toshiba.
“Like Toshiba, I believe in precision, mastery, and excellence in everything I create,” Libiran said. “True luxury lies in simplicity and intention. The Japandi philosophy reflects my approach to design, respect for materials, harmony in form, and understated elegance.”
The partnership coincides with the launch of Toshiba’s Japandi Washing Machine, designed to combine style and performance. The appliance features smart dosing, easy loading, and advanced stain removal, while its Japanese-Scandinavian-inspired design blends seamlessly into contemporary homes.
Anna Marie Alejandro, general manager of Toshiba Lifestyle Philippines, said working with Libiran “showcases how artistry and technology can come together to elevate everyday living.”
Libiran’s approach to design centers on balancing form, function, and beauty—a principle that Toshiba says also guides its lifestyle products.
The collaboration aims to show that home appliances can be as stylish as they are practical, merging thoughtful design with functional excellence.
