Filipino firm brings Seoul skincare to local shelves

Korean skincare label Lamelin has joined the Philippines’ thriving beauty scene, officially entering the market through Pharmline Medforce Inc. after a family’s personal discovery of the brand turned into a business venture, bringing treatments from Seoul’s shelves to local routines.

Pharmline Medforce CEO Catherine Andres Gamo first came across Lamelin during a trip to Korea in September 2024. After seeing results herself, she introduced the products to her husband, Enrico, and later to friends and relatives, sparking growing interest.

As demand spread, Gamo traveled back to Korea to meet Lamelin executives. On June 27, 2025, Pharmline Medforce secured the official distributorship for the Philippines. On the same day, Gamo’s daughter, Katrina Santos, was named brand ambassador for PrettySkin and Lamelin, a role offered by Lamelin and PrettySkin Korea CEO Jung Bung Sub.

The company has since expanded its reach with the launch of its website, www.prettyskinlamelin.ph, on July 15, making the brand more accessible to Filipino consumers.

Pharmline Medforce said it hopes to build a strong presence in the country’s growing skincare market, bringing Korean products into Filipino households.
