ANGELES CITY—The city’s “Kadiwa ni Kita at Ani” program continues to grow, recording ₱100,925 in total sales for April.

The initiative, which aims to provide affordable basic goods to residents, saw improved earnings compared to its launch in April 2024, when it recorded ₱36,000, and slightly below last month’s ₱117,000.

Currently, 10 stalls are operating at the City Hall compound, offering low-cost commodities to the public. The program continues to receive strong support from residents, reflecting its role in easing the cost of living for many families.

To incentivize purchases, the local government is offering free hydroponically grown lettuce from the City Agriculture Office for every minimum ₱100 purchase at the stalls. This move aims to promote healthier food choices while encouraging more residents to participate.

The monthly Kadiwa operations are supervised by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, in coordination with the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO), headed by Irish Bonus-Llego.

Kadiwa was initiated by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. through the Department of Agriculture to ensure food accessibility and affordability, especially in high-demand areas and communities with low-income households.
