Color Fun Run, ‘Zumbaile’ in Marinduque

The Mogpog Central School Alumni Association Inc. promises a day of fun-filled activities as it kicks off the Marinduque Family Color Fun Run, Zumba, and Baile de Mogpog on Saturday, May 25 at the Mogpog Covered Court in Mogpog, Marinduque.

The whole-day event is expected to bring together families and friends seeking a much-needed local getaway, at the same time opening their hearts for a great cause.

Activities are lined up from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m., promising moments of fun and laughter, and great opportunities for bonding.

The event is one of the alumni’s fundraisers to help Mogpog Central Schoo improve its level of education. Proceeds will be used to assist the school’s teachers in honing their skills and to extend support to students by providing them with experiential educational tools, materials, and infrastructure.

This one-day event also seeks to get parents actively involved in guiding the next-generation kids in this town, known as the original home of the Moriones Festival.

The most important beneficiary of the one-day event is the Green Building, an ambitious project of the alumni to rise within the premises of MCS, envisioned to be the first in the entire province.

Registration for all the events is ongoing, while onsite registration for the Color Fun Run will start at 4 a.m., with the starting gun firing off at 5 a.m. For Zumba, registration will start at 6:30 a.m. and for the Baile de Mogpog at 7 p.m.
