GOVERNMENT agents have seized at the Port of Clark in Pampanga P3.9 million worth of premium grade marijuana or kush declared as handcrafted artificial flowers.
The confiscation led by the Bureau of Customs’ Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force, the Philippine National Police—Aviation Security Group, the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), involved 2.644 kilograms of kush with an estimated street value of P3.9 million.
Prior to its arrival, intelligence information from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) prompted the assigned examiner to conduct a thorough physical examination of the shipment. The package was declared as “Handcrafted Artificial Flower Consisting of Roses, Jasmine, and Cockscomb Flowers,” but during the examination, authorities discovered four vacuum-sealed plastic pouches containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be high-grade marijuana.
