Forty-nine Filipino World War II veterans are honored with United States congressional war medals, 44 of them posthumously, during the awarding ceremony Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, bringing to 1,555 the total number of Filipino war veterans conferred the prestigious award.
