Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) reported a record-high net income of P19 billion in 2025, up 18.9 percent from P15.97 billion the previous year on higher vehicle sales and sustained market leadership.
The company said retail sales rose 5.2 percent to an all-time high of 229,447 units. The growth was led by strong demand for the Vios and Avanza models. This lifted the market share of TMP to 46.7 percent, earning the company its 24th consecutive Triple Crown as the top player in passenger cars, commercial vehicles and overall sales in the industry.
Electrified vehicles saw accelerating demand and accounted for 8.5 percent of total sales in 2025, a sharp increase from 0.33 percent in 2020. Top-selling hybrid electric models included the Zenix, Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross. To expand this lineup, the company introduced the all-new Toyota ATIV as its most accessible hybrid and the bz4X as its first full battery electric vehicle in the Philippine market.
The firm also strengthened its foothold in the light commercial vehicle segment with the Next Generation Tamaraw. The model met its average monthly sales target of 2,000 units in the fourth quarter of 2025. TMP rolled out additional conversion options to enhance the usability of the vehicle for micro, small and medium enterprises as well as local government units.
