Philippine Airlines and Airbus have signed an expanded Flight Hour Services (FHS) contract to provide technical support for 63 aircraft across the carrier’s A350, A330 and A320 families, the companies said.
The extended agreement covers nine A350-1000, 11 A330 Family and 43 A320 Family aircraft. The deal includes comprehensive component support through standard exchange, repairs, reliability engineering and the provision of on-site stock at the airline’s main base in Manila.
The partnership is designed to enhance fleet availability, operational reliability and cost predictability for the flag carrier. Airbus FHS and the airline have collaborated since 2018, when an initial contract was signed to support its A350-900 fleet.
Airbus Asia-Pacific President Anand Stanley said the move demonstrates a shared commitment to operational excellence.
“We thank Philippine Airlines for extending its Flight Hour Services agreements across its entire Airbus fleet to cover the A350, A330 Family and A320 Family,” Stanley said.
“By delivering comprehensive component support and on-site services in Manila, we are helping PAL optimise fleet performance while benefiting from predictable, long-term maintenance costs,” he said.
The partnership previously expanded in 2022 to include the airline’s A320 and A330 fleets. Airbus FHS currently leads the global market in Power-by-the-Hour component support for A330 and A350 material services.
Airbus FHS uses global expertise and data-driven insights to help airlines maximize performance while minimizing total operating costs. While specific financial terms were not disclosed, such large-scale maintenance agreements often involve major investments.
