Aircraft pilots and other aviation and technology professionals dominated the list of the country’s highest-paying jobs in 2024, with monthly wages exceeding P100,000, according to the latest Occupational Wages Survey conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
The 2024 survey showed that aircraft pilots and related associate professionals in the air transport industry received the highest average monthly wage at P137,999, followed by air traffic safety electronics technicians at P131,536 and chemical engineers in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products at P101,996
Rounding out the top 10 were mathematicians and actuaries in insurance, reinsurance and pension funding with an average monthly salary of P99,154; applications programmers in the same industry at P96,360; and web and multimedia developers in motion picture, video and television production at P79,064.
Other high-paying roles included applications programmers in information service activities at P73,804, mathematicians and actuaries in telecommunications at P71,237, software developers in publishing activities at P66,180, and industrial and production engineers in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply at P65,806.
The survey covered formal establishments employing 10 or more workers nationwide and focused on time-rated workers on a full-time basis across major industry groups.
It collected data on basic pay and regular cash allowances to support wage and salary policy development.
