ISI E-Beam acquires 35% stake in Accudata

Irradiation Solutions Inc. (ISI E-Beam), a wholly-owned subsidiary of listed A Brown Company, said it acquired a 35-percent equity stake in Accudata Analytical Labs Corp., a Laguna-based diagnostics and product safety laboratory.

The strategic partnership is set to enhance ISI E-Beam’s microbiological testing capabilities and broaden its integrated service offerings to clients in the food, pharmaceutical and medical sectors.

“We are excited to launch this partnership, combining our organizations’ expertise to deliver innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and product integrity. This collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to industries where healthcare and food safety are critical,” said ISI E-Beam president Paul Juat.

The P12.5-million investment will support the expansion of Accudata’s laboratory infrastructure, equipment upgrades and the introduction of advanced services.

Accudata, based in Calamba, Laguna, is a specialized diagnostics and product safety laboratory that provides microbial testing and regulatory compliance services, supporting various industries through the detection of pathogens, spoilage organisms, and mycotoxins in food and feed products, as well as microbial analysis of raw materials, water, and industrial inputs.

The lab also plans to roll out expanded services such as sterility, bioburden, pathogen, and antimicrobial resistance testing.

Known for offering the fastest African Swine Fever (ASF) diagnostics in the market using RT-PCR and ELISA, with a 24-hour turnaround, Accudata strengthens ISI E-Beam’s ability to deliver a fully integrated service model.

The combination of advanced diagnostics and electron beam (E-Beam) sterilization offers clients faster turnaround times, stronger regulatory support and the convenience of working with a single provider.

Accudata was founded by a group of Philippine Science High School (PSHS) alumni, led by Will Tan and former National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Cielito Habito, with a mission to apply science-based, practical technologies for social good.

ISI E-Beam operates a 10 MeV electron beam sterilization facility in Tanay, Rizal, offering high-volume processing for local and export industries, which includes sterilization for a wide range of products, including herbs, spices, seafood, fruits, medical products, pet food, cosmetics and packaging materials.
