Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque reiterated the Philippines’ readiness to work with American companies for sustained regional growth and shared prosperity.
“American businesses have long found a home here, benefiting from our strategic location, rich natural resources, skilled English-speaking workforce, large consumer market, and supportive business environment,” she said.
Roque highlighted the Board of Investments’ (BOI) efforts to attract investments, noting that the Green Lanes for Strategic Investments certified 187 projects worth P4.64 trillion across renewable energy, digital infrastructure, food security and manufacturing.
She said the DTI is pushing for balanced regional development by expanding industrial hubs outside Metro Manila such the investment corridors in Subic-Clark, Batangas, Mindanao and the Visayas.
