San Miguel Corp. (SMC) chief finance officer and treasurer Ferdinand Constantino is retiring from the conglomerate after several decades of service.
Constantino, 72, will remain as advisor to the SMC and its board of directors.
SMC said in a disclosure to the stock exchange Thursday its board appointed Bryan Villanueva as new chief finance officer and Joseph Pineda as treasurer to replace Constantino effective Feb 1, 2025.
Constantino was a director, CFO and treasurer of the SMC. He was also a director of Petron Malaysia Refining and Marketing Bhd., president of Anchor Insurance Brokerage Corp., director of San Miguel Brewery Inc., San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corp., San Miguel Foods International Limited, SMC Skyway Corp., San Miguel Aerocity Inc. and Northern Cement Corp.; and a trustee of the San Miguel Foundation Inc.
He has held directorships in various domestic and international subsidiaries of the company in the last five years.
Prior to this new appointment, Villanueva, 54, was the senior vice president for special corporate projects—Office of the President of SMC since November 2023. He is serving as chief finance officer of San Miguel Aerocity Inc., a position which he has held since 2020. He has been a consultant of SMC since 2018.
Prior to joining SMC, Villanueva was the managing director, global head of finance sponsors coverage at Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) from 2008 to 2017. He was previously with Framework Capital Corp. (Singapore) as director from 2006 to 2008, executive director at UBS Investment Bank (Hong Kong) from 2002 to 2006 and an associate at Goldman Sachs (US/Singapore/Hong Kong) from 1998 to 2002.
He obtained a degree in BS Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University. He also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Major in Finance from Wharton Business School.
Meanwhile, Pineda, 61, is the senior vice president and deputy chief finance officer since June 2021. He has a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Beda College and obtained units towards a Master’s in Business Administration degree from De La Salle University.
