The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou facilitated a meeting between the Philippine Youth Entrepreneurs Association and the Guangdong Young Entrepreneurs Committee of the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce on March 6, 2026 to explore business collaboration between young leaders from the Philippines and Guangdong.
Guangdong Young Entrepreneurs Committee president Luo Wenqi and Philippine Youth Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA) representatives attended the session alongside Consul Stephanie Alexis Cruz.
During the meeting, Luo invited PYEA to future Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce (GDGCC) activities and welcomed the prospect of members participating in the 11th ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival International Conference and Expo in Manila on Nov. 5-6, 2026.
The session followed discussions on March 4 between Philippine Consulate General Iric Cruz Arribas and a PYEA delegation headed by membership vice president Arlette Alvarado.
Arribas encouraged the group to take part in the China-ASEAN Expo and the Canton Fair to broaden networks and increase international exposure.
PYEA, which serves as the youth arm of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the 2026 Chair of the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council, said it will pursue opportunities to deepen commercial links, facilitate exchanges and promote joint initiatives between young entrepreneurs in both regions.
