The Philippine Xiamen Amity Association Inc. and the Philippine Xiamen Chamber of Commerce Inc. inaugurated a new slate of officers during an 11th-anniversary celebration on March 1, 2026 at the Golden Bay Restaurant.
The organizations elected Dai Guoan as the new president. In his inaugural speech, Dai thanked members for their support and outlined three core visions: to unite members around a shared purpose, to strengthen cooperation and assume collective responsibility, and to pursue mutual benefit and new achievements.
During the ceremony, the groups donated P200,000 to the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) for its “Save the Lost Filipino-Chinese Students” project.
FFCCCII vice-president Jose Go congratulated the new officers and highlighted the economic transformation of Xiamen.
He said the city, one of China’s original four special economic zones, reached a 2025 GDP of 898.037 billion yuan, representing a 5.7 percent increase from 2024.
Go urged the associations to continue building platforms for economic cooperation between China and the Philippines while deepening involvement in social welfare initiatives that support national stability.
Philippine Xiamen Amity Association honorary president Huang Goujie reviewed the progress of the past three years.
He noted significant gains in promoting Sino-Philippine friendship and expanding economic, trade and cultural exchanges.
The event was attended by Philippine Chinese Charitable Association Inc. (PCCAI) chairman and association adviser Antonio Tan, Chinese Embassy Consul Shi Weijian, Malabon City Mayor Jennie Sandoval and various Filipino-Chinese community leaders.
