Metro Pacific investments Corp. and Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. chairman Manuel Pangilinan describes the new Cebu Cordova Link Expressway as ‘the pride of Cebu that is a product of the hearts, minds and hands of Cebuanos.’ Pangilinan delivered this message during the main bridge deck connection ceremony of CCLEX, the P30-billion, 8.5-kilometer major infrastructure project that will connect mainland Cebu from Cebu City to the municipality of Cordova on Mactan Island. The project, undertaken and developed by the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp., a subsidiary company of MPTC, envisions CCLEX not only as decongesting traffic in the two existing bridges of Cebu but also as increasing economic activities in Cebu and throughout the Visayas Region.
