General Trias, Cavite—Team GenTri regained unopposed status from congressional, mayoral, vice mayoral, boardmembers to councilor at the end of filing of certificate of candidacy on Friday.
One Team GenTri filed their CoCs on the last day of filing at the local Comelec office at the 4th floor of city hall building in Barangay Bagumbayan.
Incumbent Rep. Luis Ferrer IV and Mayor Antonio Ferrer are swapping positions after they reached the end of their 3-year term.
Rep. Luis Ferrer IV filed COC for mayoral post together with running mate Councilor Jonas Labuguen and 12 councilor candidates under National Unity Party (NUP).
Mayor Antonio Ferrer filed his CoC for Representative of 6th District of Cavite at the office of Provincial Election Supervisor lawyer Margaret Joyce Cortez in Trece Martires City.
"Natutuwa po ako na yung dating magkalaban na partido eh, nagsama-sama na ngayon dito sa One Team GenTri." Rep. Jon Jon Ferrer IV said.
"Makakaasa po kayo na susuklian namin ni Vice Mayoral candidate Jonas Labuguen ng mas magagandang proyekto and programs para po sa ating mga kababayan." Rep. Jon Jon added.
"Maganda na po ang ginagawa ng kasalukuyang administration sa pamumuno ni Mayor Ony Ferrer, mas improved pa po natin ito. Maging matugunan ang mga pangangailangan ng mamamayan, higit yung mga mahihirap, asahm nyo po ang Serbisyong 24/7,” Rep. Jon Jon Ferrer added.
"Salamat po sa tiwala ng mamamayan ng Heneral Trias sa patuloy na sumusuporta at pagmamahal, Let Join Forces for progressive and peaceful 6th District of Cavite." Ferrer said.
One Team GenTri are considered virtual winners of the May 9, 2022 local elections as they filed COC with no opponents.
Boardmembers Kerby Salazar and Morit Sison and councilor candidates Jowie Carampot, Richard Parin, Gary Grepo, Kristine Barison, Jay Columna, Nanding Granados, Clarissa Campaña, Kyle Salazar, Alfred Ching, Gani Culanding, Vivencio Lozares and lawyer Jesseboy Grepo also are running unopposed
Team GenTri also ran unopposed during thr May 2019 local polls.
