PRO3 cops nab 104 in week of anti-drug raids

A total of 104 drug personalities were arrested while four alleged Chinese traffickers were killed in weeklong operations conducted by the Police Regional Office 3 from September 3 to 9.

Based on the weekly report submitted to PRO 3 Regional Director, Police Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, a total of 74 police operations were conducted.

This resulted in the arrest of 104 drug personalities with a total 262.59 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1.785 million and 16.49 grams of marijuana confiscated.

De Leon said all arrested drug personalities were charged in court.

Meanwhile, in a joint operation by the PNP and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Candelaria, Zambales last September 7, four Chinese nationals were killed.

The operation also led to seizure of 500 grams of shabu amounting to P3.4 billion.

During the follow up operation in Barangay Tipo, Hermosa, Bataan, the operatives confiscated another 80,000 grams of shabu, amounting to P544 million, and arrested three Chinese nationals.

PRO 3 also conducted 49 anti-illegal gambling operations, which saw the arrest of 174 persons and confiscation of bet money amounting to P93,356.

The operatives also conducted seven anti-illegal logging operations, which led to the arrest of 11 persons and confiscation of P47,897.

De Leon assured the public PRO 3 operatives will continue to conduct operations as a fulfillment of their mandate to serve and to protect.
