British cosmetics and skincare company The Body Shop introduces its two hair care lines registered by the Vegan Society, the “oldest vegan society in the world” based in the United Kingdom.
Tea Tree range and Moringa range are both made with vegan silk protein, a 100 percent plant-based protein that replicates the chemical structure of natural silk produced by the European garden spider.
Purifying hair care line Tea Tree, composed of Tea Tree Purifying and Balancing Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair and Scalp Scrub, helps eliminate build-up without stripping hair its natural moisture. In addition to vegan silk protein, it is made with organically grown Community Fair Trade tea tree oil from Kenya.
The new Moringa hair care line, on the other hand, promises shinier hair with the help of Community Fair Trade moringa seed oil and extract from Rwanda and vegan silk protein. It consists of Moringa Shine and Protection Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Mist.
According to The Body Shop, its new hair care bottles and tubs are made of 100 percent recycled plastic, including Community Fair Trade recycled plastic collected off the streets of Bengaluru, India. Its other hair products, it adds, are now made with at least 90 percent ingredients of natural origin.
The aforementioned vegan products are now available in stores and at www.thebodyshop.com.ph.
