A vehicle is swept by strong current of the Marikina River which has breached critical level following heavy rains from the nearby province of Rizal induced by the southwest monsoon on August 2, 2021. According to PAGASA, the southwest monsoon will remain the dominant weather system in Metro Manila and parts of the country.
