Kai Sotto showed the way as Gilas Pilipinas and Team Dragon of China played to a 79-all draw in a friendly match Wednesday at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center in Pampanga.
Sotto knocked in 12 points in the game two days before both teams head for their respective FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.
Angelo Kouame and Jordan Heading fired 11 points apiece in a contest that was done a few days after the recently concluded 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
They played without Dwight Ramos and Carl Tamayo, who had a groin injury and left ankle sprain, respectively.
Gilas led by 78-71 with 1:07 left in the game, when China staged a rally in the remaining time.
