Fancy cars are lined up for destruction in Manila as they are found too hot to handle, being smuggled in by unscrupulous traders. Customs Commissioner Rey Guerrero leads the demolition of this precious haul of 21 autos valued at P58.5 million. In Cagayan de Oro, another batch of 14 hot cars are simultaneously destroyed in a twin move that Customs says will send a strong message that the government is relentless in its campaign to stop smuggling at the ports. Last February, the Customs destroyed a total of 17 smuggled vehicles.
