Camp Marcelo A Adduru, Tuguegarao City – Relative to the Comprehensive Online Recruitment Encrypting System (CORES), Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) has joined the National Headquarters and other police regional offices in the simultaneous launching of "Nameless Faceless Recruitment Process" at the PRO2 Grandstand here.

Police Brigadier General Crizaldo Nieves, PRO2 Regional Director, personally monitored the launching of the activity to ensure that the guidance of Philippine National Police Chief General Guillermo Eleazar, and policies set forth in the PNP recruitment process are properly adhered to.

“We are implementing the QR Code System in the PNP Recruitment to guarantee that ‘padrino system’ will no longer be practiced,” Nieves said in a statement.

It is imperative to start fixing the lapses in the recruitment process to determine that only the best and most qualified applicants will be selected from among the 400 recruitment quota for the first and second semester of 2021 allotted for Cagayan Valley region, he added.

Meanwhile, Police Lieutenant Colonel Gregorio Tumbali, Assistant Chief, Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 2 (RRSU2), stressed that it is important for PNP applicants to know the right and timely information on the requirements for entry to the PNP in order for them to have ample time to prepare for the different stages of the recruitment process.

Initially, 185 applicants reported on May 27 for the Body Mass Index assessment out of 1,498 applicants for PRO2 and are scheduled to report for the same process until June 1, 2021.

Also, 100 applicants for the National Support Units who were not able to report at the National Headquarters will be screened at this regional office.

The Quick Response Code (QR Code) of applicants who do not meet the normal BMI range will be automatically deactivated, and they can no longer proceed to the other stages of the recruitment. The procedure will also be undertaken in the rest of the stages of the process.

The applicants are also required to present a negative result of their RT-PCR Test and a normal ECG before they are allowed entry to the camp.
