He cited the agency’s efforts in reaching out to local governments and boosting coordination with them, particularly in establishing resilient, sustainable and resilient housing communities to Filipinos, especially the underprivileged.

“Of the other LGUs that DHSUD had signed a memorandum of agreement with, only Talavera has a comprehensive land use plan and local shelter plan. Congratulations to your LGU because that is the most important document a locality must have so it will have an idea done comprehensively on how to optimize the utilization of their lots,” he said.

“As a son of Talavera, thank you for giving me the opportunity to help my hometown. If you need any help regarding the provision of shelter, all you need is to ask, our doors are always open for you,” the secretary added.

Del Rosario also inked an agreement with Mayor Froilan Nagano of Nueva Ecija’s San Leonardo town to pave the way for the grant of fund for land development using the incentivized compliance of developers to the balanced housing program for San Leonardo’s BALAI-certified socialized housing project.
