Manila cops nab 3 with P680,000 in shabu

Manila Police District (MPD) operatives arrested three persons during a buy-bust operation in Santa Cruz, Manila, and seized P680,000 worth of shabu, the police said on Sunday.

Lt. Col. John Guiagui, chief of the Santa Cruz police station, said they received information on an illegal drugs operation along Quiricada Street in Barangay 327.

Their target was a certain “Atong,” a former convict.

After “Atong” sold drugs to a poseur buyer policeman, the suspect was immediately arrested, together with a 28-year-old saleslady and a 40-year-old driver.

Seized from the suspects were six sachets containing shabu, weighing a total of 100 grams.

Police are trying to find out who their supplier is.

The three suspects were detained at the Manila Police District Station 3.

Meanwhile, in Las Piñas, police arrested a man during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Talon 4.

Col. Rodel Pastor of the Las Pinas police said they arrested a certain “Toto,” who worked as a construction worker.

Seized from the suspect were two sachets of shabu weighing 26.5 grams, worth P180,000.
