Tiangco was among 260 people with comorbidities in Navotas who got jabbed with CoronaVac at the San Jose Academy.

Another 260 vaccinees also received the same vaccine at the Tumana Health Center.

Last week, after the national government confirmed that mayors in the high-risk areas are allowed to get COVID-19 vaccines, Tiangco sought medical clearance from his asthma doctor.

His doctor advised him to stop taking one of his four maintenance medicines for asthma for a week. If his asthma does not worsen, then he could get vaccinated on the seventh day.

Tiangco arrived at the vaccination venue around 11:30 a.m. and proceeded to the registration area. His blood pressure was 130/70 during screening and he was cleared for vaccination.

He stayed at the observation area for 30 minutes and was allowed to leave afterwards.  Tiangco reported no adverse reactions.
