The agreement covers industry-specific placement for CMU students for on-the-job training courses at HSI utilizing Microsoft Technologies. This involves placements in departments such as marketing, business administration, IT and other science-related programs.

The CMU benefits from the tie-up for being a candidate and named as a “Microsoft Academy” where it will be accredited under Microsoft's School of the Future Program.

It entitles students and faculty members for free Microsoft certifications, including licensing and free accounts on Microsoft’s Imagine Software and free training on Canva and Microsoft Programming Software through the Microsoft Virtual Academy platform.

The long-term agreement also includes affiliation with Gabay Guro—a PLDT Smart Foundation project that provides behavioral and livelihood training and other industry linkages. CMU also commits to the community service program that concerns the Philippine Olympic Committee through its Physical Education subjects.

The agreement was signed by Chie Malaki, president and chief executive of HSI Philippines, Jojo Alonzo, director for business development for public sector of HIS Philippines, CMU vice president for academic affairs Dean Melissa Sison-Oreta, CMU vice president for institutional development Engr. Sheila Ibay Villanueva and CMU vice president for finance and administration Dr. Michael Darwin Domingo.

The partnership is one of the many transformative programs of the institution since Antolin "LenLen" Oreta III took office as university president in 2020.

HSI, together with Microsoft, supports CMU in its vision of becoming a center of excellence for young Malabonians.
