Officials of the Department of Transportation, Light Rail Transit Authority, Light Rail Manila Corp., ambassadors, consultants, contractors, loan financer, and stakeholders unveil the first LRT-1 4th Generation Train Car at the Manila Harbor Center Port Services. LRMC, the private operator of LRT Line 1, says the state-of-the-art passenger train, designed by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles of Spain, measures 106 meters in length and 2.59 meters in width, with a maximum design speed of up to 70 kilometers per hour.
