CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – The city of Cauayan was recognized by the Department of Information and Communication Technology, (DITC), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National Information Communication Technology Confederation of the Philippine for two honors during the annual Digital Governance Awards.
Mayor Bernard Faustino M. Dy expressed gratitude to the three agencies for recognizing the efforts of Cauayan City in enhancing the delivery of public service through ICT.
Cauayan City was 3rd Place in the Best in LGU Empowerment (G2G) Award for its Integrated Digital Twin for Disaster Resiliency Project, highlighting the use of the first-ever digital map (3D map) for mitigating the impacts of disaster through the support of Graffiquo and Smart Cities Network Limited.
The city also ranked 3rd in the Best in Customer Empowerment (G2C) Award for its E-Patrol Complaint Tracking System of the Sumbungan ng Bayan or Constituent’s Relations Management during its first virtual ceremony held on December 11, 2020, Dy said.
San Juan City ranked first while Manila was in second place among 118 cities and municipalities who submitted their entries for the Digital Governance Awards.
It is an annual event recognizing Local Government Units’ best practices in utilizing ICT for the effective and efficient delivery of public services to local communities and business stakeholders.
