DINALUPIHAN, Bataan—With strict observance to government health protocols to avoid the spread of Covid 19 virus, Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia has opted to go with house-to-house delivery of the local government’s noche buena packages to residents here.
The lady mayor said they distributed Christmas food packs to 31,717 families in 46 barangays here from December 18-23.
Garcia said she hopes the noche buena packages will in a way bring the spirit of Christmas to her constituents amidst the pandemic.
The last-term mayor used to conduct yearly sectoral general assemblies filled with fun activities, songs, and dances, and of course gift giving for the Christmas celebration.
“Hindi ko makikita ngayong Pasko ang mga masasayang mukha ng aking mga kababayan habang sumasali sa mga masasayang activities gaya ng pa-raffle ng mga papremyo, sumasayaw, kumakanta, at iba pa,” said the well-loved lady mayor.
