Last season, the 28-year-old Clarkson finished with an average of 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 season with the Utah Jazz.

His performance was better than in 2019 when he had norms of 14.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while on his final year with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“When I got to Utah, I was hitting straight to the rim, making easy threes. That was the biggest adjustment I made. That’s why you see my numbers going up and increased,” said Clarkson when he talked about his game on Zoom last Saturday.

Because of this, Clarkson said he will be working on getting the Sixth Man of the Year honors when the 2020-2021 season has ended.

“I want to win the Sixth Man of the Year award after having this opportunity to be with this organization,” added Clarkson.

His outstanding game with the Jazz last season was the reason why the 6’5” combo guard was asked to re-sign for a four-year contract.

The deal, which is a $51.52-million contract, will have Clarkson seeing action for the Jazz in the NBA for the next four years.

When he moved to the Jazz, coach Quin Snyder gave Clarkson chances to show his game, and show how good he is.

And Jordan said he was able to do this with opportunities that Snyder gave him.

“Coach put me in a position where I’m able to get to show my strength and focus on my shot distribution. I take a lot of bad long 2s, and short 2s out of my game,” added Clarkson.

Clarkson expressed his desire to show improvements in game on the day the Utah Jazz a change in team ownership.

The transaction included the Utah Jazz, Vivint Arena, the NBA G League Salt Lake City Stars, and management operations of the Triple-A baseball affiliate Salt Lake Bees.

Smith, 42, is the co-founder of Qualtrics, the leader in customer experience and creator of the experience management (XM) category.

Clarkson came to the Jazz after he was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers for Dante Exum in 2019.

The Tampa, Florida-born Clarkson will reportedly have an annual average salary of $12,880,000 with the Jazz, and after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers.
