Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Sarte Salceda has appealed for assistance for his district following the onslaught of Super Typhoon “Rolly,” which inflicted about P2.1 billion in damages to critical infrastructures in the area.
Some 20,494 families composed of 66,328 persons are now housed in evacuation centers around the district, Salceda said.
Camalig has 6,648 families or 22,296 persons, followed by Manito (1,647 families, 6,866 persons); Rapu-rapu (2,052 families, 7,714 persons); Legazpi City (6,439 families, 14,535 persons); and Daraga (3,708 families, 14,917 persons).
Salceda said a total of 286 houses were totally destroyed in his district, with 450 others critically damaged, and 768 substantially damaged. Albay’s second district has a population of 613,940.
“We are appealing to your generosity of spirit for assistance to sustain our constituents’ daily needs,” pleaded Salceda.
