Thirty one families and five business establishments affected by a fire in Barangay San Nicolas received their P10,000 assistance each from the city government Thursday, four days after Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. ordered the local finance committee for its immediate release.
The total financial assistance released amounted to P360,000.
Lazatin’s chief adviser IC Calaguas also said the Business Permit and Licensing Division is also set to assist the five registered business establishments for their fire insurance.
Nida Estacio, one of the fire victims, underscored the quick response of the city for their food and cash assistance as well as the immediate visit of the city mayor to the gutted area.
