Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—The provincial government recently gave more than P7 million to irrigators and barangay officials for their Farm to Market Road and irrigation system project.
Governor Carlos Padilla gave P4.063 million for the barangay officials of Dagupan in Quezon town for their FMR project.
He said this would boost agricultural productivity within the upland town as farmers cater to the agricultural needs of the adjacent towns such as Solano, Bagabag, Villaverde and Bayombong.
The farmers’ products from Quezon town are upland vegetables, root crops and rice.
Padilla also gave P3 million to the members of the Lower Sisi Irrigators Association in Kasibu town.
The fund will be used for the organization’s Communal Irrigation System project which is expected to boost the rice and vegetable produce of the town’s upland farmers, he said.
